Fan-Made ‘Untitled Goose Game’ Character Creator is Honking Good Stuff

It’s difficult to imagine how the Untitled Goose Game could be made any better but one awesome fan has managed to do just that with a character creator. Alex Massé is a professional game programmer and game designer with his own game called Paralives in development (I will link his Patreon here). It is via his Paralives game that he has made this character creator and it looks awesome.

This plumpy boy is living his best life.

To create the fan-made prototype, Massé used the editing tools from Paralives and the Unity engine. The character creator that he has made involves sliders to change the various body parts of the goose. He gives us an example of a chunky goose with a chubby body and thicker feet as well as a skinny goose with a super long neck. My personal favourite is the goose with a short, almost non existent beak because he becomes sock puppet goose. Sock Puppet Goose has my heart. Massé also included some outfits in his creator, such as a crown and robe, a beanie hat and shirt and a deerstalker cap and long coat to create the revered Detective Goose.

Sock Puppet Goose is love. Sock Puppet Goose is life.

This is a protoype that only Massé has access to but there is no doubting the brilliant work that he has done to create this. Fan made content can always be fun but there is something particularly special about this kind of creation due to how authentic it looks. I thought this was a genuine element of the real game that had been cut at first. Maybe one day the actual game might include a character creator of some kind.  It certainly seems like a step that could be taken in DLC or a sequel.

In the meantime, check out Alex Massé’s official website for more of his great work.

Sherlock Goose is out to solve some crimes. Too bad he is the one committing most of them.
