Cute Meets Even Cuter with this Fan-Made Animal Crossing/ Pokémon Mash-Up

Animal Crossing Pokemon

You may not know this about me but I am an absolutely shameless fan of all things cute and adorable. I just can’t help myself. It’s a real problem. Growing up, I would always pick the cute and cuddly characters in video games (or the girls because girl power and all that) and I still have an extensive collection of plushies of all kinds to this day even though I’m 28. Don’t judge. I even have an adorable face-hugger plush from Alien. Again, refrain from judging if you can. One Instagrammer has made my dreams a reality by bringing together two of the cutest franchises that gaming has to offer: Animal Crossing and Pokémon.

With both games featuring a plethora of the sweetest, most painfully cute animal and creature characters, a crossover isn’t really a surprise but it is no less welcome. Instagrammer acnh.pokeland has created a Pokémon-themed island on Animal Crossing: New Horizons for the Nintendo Switch. The island features cleverly decorated homes to resemble Pokémon locations such as Professor Oak’s lab-where you choose your starter Pokémon- , the Pokémon Centre clinic where you can take your Pokémon to be healed as well as a battle arena. There is clearly a lot of love for both game series’ here as there is some fantastic attention to detail.

So far, acnh.pokeland only has six posts on their Instagram but hopefully they will post more fantastic Animal Crossing x Pokémon content soon. Make sure to check out their Instagram account for yourself where you can find the code to visit Pokeland Island!
