‘Fallout: New Vegas’ Mod ‘Brave New World’ Gives a Voice to Tons of NPC’s

Nexus Mods– one of the largest modification websites for gaming- recently released an awesome mod for the hugely popular 2009 Fallout game, Fallout: New Vegas.  The mod- called Brave New World– is available for download now and will require the player to start a new game.

The mod took a huge amount of time and effort by the team behind it, with a development process that lasted almost four years. The mod intends to fix the issue of “cloning” that was apparent in the original New Vegas game. Due to time constraints, Fallout: New Vegas ended up having a lot of non-playable characters with the same voice. Voice actors could end up playing more than ten characters because of these constraints. This is what Brave New World was created to achieve: to give NPC’s more individual voices rather than overhaul all of the voice acting entirely.

The new voices are performed by professional voice actors who were carefully cast as appropriately as possible following 30,000 auditions. It is clear that the team behind Brave New World were passionate about this project and the final result certainly shows their commitment and the lengths they have gone to in order to create a more immersive New Vegas experience. Have a look at the complete list of Fallout: New Vegas NPC characters that have been revoiced in the mod here and for more on the Brave New World mod- and to download it to try it out for yourself- check it out on the Nexus Mod website here.
