‘Cyberpunk 2077’s’ Beast of A Script Shows The Depth of the Dialogue

After seven years of waiting following the announcement teaser trailer, Cyberpunk 2077 is now only a month away. The hype is real people. CD Projeckt Red has been releasing a lot of content about their long awaited, upcoming RPG but one of the most astonishing feats is the length of the script for the game.

After Cyberpunk 2077 officially went gold, CD Projeckt Red Japan Localization Manager Yuki Nishio tweeted the above picture, which shows part (yes, just a part) of the Japanese dubbed script. The tweet went a viral and gave us a bit of a hint as to the complexity and depth of the in game dialogue. CD Projeckt Red recently confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to have a shorter story than The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt due to complaints they got from players of the length. However, this script tease suggests that we are still going to get a fulfilling and in depth story, even if it is a little shorter. Personally I’m a huge fan of long stories in role playing games, as long as the narrative is engaging and well written. CD Projeckt Red has a good track record of engaging narrative so this all seems promising.

Cyberpunk 2077 is looking to be an immersive and exciting experience with tons of content (and obviously a hell of a lot of dialogue, suggesting there will be a multiple dialogue and narrative branches) to appeal to a variety of players and play styles.  There’s not much long left to wait, so stay tuned for more on the long awaited and highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077.
