‘Cadence of Hyrule’ Developers Are The Latest Game Makers to Create Themed ‘Mario Maker 2’ Course

We recently wrote a blog piece on the developers of Yooka-Laylee creating a special Super Mario Maker 2 level, and it seems like this could be becoming a trend of sorts.  The latest developers to get in on this are Brace Yourself Games, developers of the recent Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer featuring The Legend of Zelda.

Brace Yourself Games has created a course called “Cadence of Mario???” that uses the theme of rhythm-based movement, just as in the actual Cadence of Hyrule game. They utilize the ghost house theme from Super Mario World to give off a somewhat spooky, dungeon like feel, while a Buzzy Beetle will activate platforms via a switch in the level, causing them to disappear and reappear; it also continuously triggers conveyor belts to change directions.

The course is based on the rhythm theme, but keeping in step isn’t a necessary aspect to it. You can complete the stage without adhering to the beat, but the experience is a bit more fun and enjoyable if you do try and hop along in time. To try out the ‘Cadence of Mario???’ course for yourself, input the code HFH-D53-60G.
