Animal Crossing Teams Up With PUMA for the New Horizons Collection

Fans of Nintendo’s smash hit Switch game Animal Crossing: New Horizons may be yearning for a new update to the game but nope. You’re getting expensive shoes and hoodies instead as Animal Crossing is teaming up with sports clothing giant PUMA to for the New Horizons collection. Because why not I guess?

The collection consists of sneakers, hoodies, shirts, shorts and sweatpants, all of which are adorned with Animal Crossing characters and related imagery alongside the iconic PUMA logo. The sneakers will include some of PUMA’s most distinctive when it comes to shoe silhouettes, including Wild Rider, Future Rider and Suede.

I do find these video game collaborations with big brands to be an interesting amalgamation of interests. I know for a fact that I wouldn’t be able to afford most PUMA items, mostly because I spend all of my money on video games such as Animal Crossing. Expensive clothing, big name brands and video games can blend together well if done right and if the brand has a genuine interest and affection for the franchise in question so let’s hope that PUMA is able to do justice to beloved title. So make sure you save your bells and get ready to put yourself in crippling debt in true Animal Crossing: New Horizons style.

The PUMA X Animal Crossing:  New Horizons Collection will be available worldwide from September 18th.
