Amazing Voice Actor and Impressionist Throws Classic Characters into ‘Among Us’

Among Us is still riding high in terms of popularity at the moment which means that we are still getting tons of awesome fan content. One of my favourite recent finds was a TikTok by an impressionist and voice actor McGuinnesBook, who portrayed five fictional characters playing the game.

In the video, Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Kermit the Frog and Lighting McQueen from Cars are shown playing Among Us (not a sentence I thought I would be using but I digress). With a cheeky “Kachow”, Lighting speeds over to Goofy and murders him as Donald watches. Unfortunately, Lighting is just too fast- he is speed after all- and Mickey only sees Donald near the body. Mickey blames Donald and Kermit is immediately suspicious. Even Goofy comes back from the grave to accuse Donald of being sus. Donald is evacuated into the cold and dark fathoms of space, screaming as he goes. This is probably the weirdest paragraph I’ve ever written but let’s move on.

McGuinnesBook provides the voices of all the characters in the comedy skit and they are all spot on. Donald Duck is one of the most impressive voice impressions to be able to do because….do I really need to say why? It just sounds like a painful voice to do. But McGuinnes pulls it off so naturally that you’d be forgiven if you thought it was the original voice of Disney’s infamous angry bird. The rest are great too. All of these characters have very distinct voices which can be difficult to emulate but they are done perfectly. My personal favourite moment is Lighting McQueen zooming in and “Kachowing” as he decapitates Goofy. He says nothing more except for one parting “Kachow” to Donald as he is ejected. I don’t know why I find this video so funny but I couldn’t stop laughing the whole time. The perfect voices are definitely part of that though, so thanks McGuinnesBook for brightening my day and giving me a good chuckle with this video! Also, please make a whole video series out of this concept. It’s what the world needs right now.

Have a look at McGuinnesBook’s social media to hear his other great impressions: TikTok, YouTube and Instagram.
